The New Year

Hello all.

As the New Year approaches I hope this blog finds you and your families doing well. It's been a rough past year and though we can hope all we want, I'm not to sure I see it improving much in the New Year.

With Kevin's work getting more and more scarce toward the end of this years session I feel the situations life throws at us cannot get much worse from here. My Job remains steady and is certainly better than nothing.

Our few accomplishments this year have been great however, despite the crunch of the Economy. On January 11, 2008 we purchased our first home. When we moved in it was just us and our little puppy Shelby. Shortly after in February we added an addition to the family, Molly (puppy #2). Then came Jill, our Ferret. So... though we have no human children we stay very busy with our animal children, who are after all, just youngins.

We have all been enjoying our new home and our 3 acres of land throughout this year. Though we haven't made many improvements to the house yet we will be working on them in the near future.

As for the rest of our year. It's has gone pretty smooth. We enjoyed Thanksgiving with my Family at our house this year and enjoyed our 3 Christmas Dinners that we had for ALL of our family. It was a wonderful treat to have Nando and Nat move back home from Virginia just in time to enjoy the Christmas festivities with us. They also brought Heather home with Teria to meet the rest of the family for the first time since she was born and let me tell you, she is growing up so fast, it's unbelievable!

Our Close Friends, who we also consider our Family, have made great things happen this year as well. Jeremy and Amanda added to their family this year when baby Addison arrived and

Kevin and Chasity brought a little girl into the world on April 6th this year, Kashlyn Marie. We have had an awesome time watching all of the new arrivals grow over this year and can't wait to see them blossom within the years to come. They have been a wonderful blessing for everyone! :)

So... On to the NEW YEAR. Tomorrow is the first day of 2009 and though it doesn't look like the economy will get much better for this year, we are in high hopes that it won't get worse. Our family plan this year is to make the best of what we have and make small improvements as we can. We hope to take great advantage of the short year that Nando and Nat will be living close by and hope that they wish to extend their term here or at least somewhat close to home. We wish all the best for Heather and Teria in making their life plans, whether it be here or South Carolina and as for the rest of us that are well grounded here in hillbilly holler we hope that our bonds continue to be close and grow stronger throughout these rough times.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Lets make it the best we can. We love you all! :)
